Innovad has recently developed Aflocox®, a novel 100% natural phytogenic technology, based on in-house extraction capabilities, aiding the control of coccidiosis in modern poultry production.

In this research, Aflocox® was evaluated in two different set-ups: a) under an experimental mixed Eimeria challenge (Eimeria acervulina, E. maxima and E. tenella) conducted by the independent CRO Poulpharm in Belgium and, b) under real production conditions, using a novel chronic inflammation model as a trigger for naturally occurring coccidiosis.

“We are very proud that our novel findings have been accepted for an oral presentation at the prestigious Symposium on Gut Health in Production of Food Animals held October 31–November 3, 2021, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA entitled ‘Evaluation of a novel plant-based technology aiding the control of coccidiosis in modern poultry production,” said Dr. Christos Gougoulias, Director of Innovation in Innovad

“The work here is part of our ongoing commitment to advance our knowledge and strengthen our expertise on Gut Health. More exciting research is underway so, stay tuned,” added Jason Lorjé (DVM), Marketing Director in Innovad.
